Welcome!

My name is Andrea and I’m a psychologist from Colombia.

Looking for a change and challenges in our professional journeys, my husband and I moved to Barcelona.

And, as ‘you get what you ask for,’ there have been many personal and professional challenges to navigate in our expat experience. 

After completing my second Master’s degree in Individual and Group Humanistic Psychotherapy, I decided to stay and enjoy Barcelona’s magic, letting myself grow and learn from the uncertainty of starting over.

The therapeutic relationship is healing in and of itself. I am guided by your emotional rhythm; it is your space and I respect your needs and timing.

I use an existential and humanistic framework.

You will be met as a unique and free person, who has the innate ability to create, self-actualise, find meaning and purpose and achieve your potential. 

I invite you to observe yourself holistically, to integrate your body, mind, and emotions with present experiences.

We will access your wisdom on yourself and your life. Sometimes we will explore concerns through the awareness of your body.

I explore patterns from your past, focusing on how they affect you now.

We can’t change what we are not aware of. However, we can transform what may be blocking you, so you can connect with the most potent version of yourself.

I offer you practical exercises, according to your needs, your resources and what you feel connected to.

I draw on existential analysis, logotherapy, person-centered therapy, gestalt, attachment theory, body-centered psychotherapy, focusing and elements of sensorimotor psychotherapy to help.

Depression, anxiety, self-esteem, panic, phobias, body image and food issues, grief, loss, stress, anger and trauma.

Depression, anxiety, bullying, parental divorce, body image, irritability, emotional regulation, phobias, self-esteem, loss and trauma.

Self-esteem, social skills, school related issues, bullying, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, self-harm, parental divorce, anger or behavioural issues.

Being present for others has always come naturally to me. I was drawn to study Psychology for this reason.

I had a brief detour studying Chemical Engineering, realised I wasn’t happy and came back to my true calling: Psychology.

It was meant to be. I feel a genuine and deep interest in accompanying people and in the uniqueness of their experiences. Helping others brings me joy, meaning and purpose.

How did I realise my calling in life was psychology?

When I was a kid, I loved writing poems and short stories.
Since moving to Barcelona I have started writing again. It helps me shape what I am feeling.

I love food. I adore finding new restaurants and exploring life through textures and flavours.

Contemplating a sunrise, feeling the sea in front of me and feeling the earth holding me with my bare feet. These are transcendent moments that make me feel at one with the Universe.
