EMILIA
I provide a warm and safe space for self exploration and healing.
Hi there
I’m Emilia, a therapist trained in California.
Of all the places I’ve lived, Barcelona is one of my absolute favourites. The city is gorgeous, the weather is amazing and the quality of life unparalleled.
At Therapy in Barcelona I am excited to merge my two passions; traveling and therapy in one place.
I thrive in international environments and love having clients and colleagues from all over the world.

What does working with me feel like?
I am authentic and real with you. So you can show up as you are.
I give you plenty of space to express yourself. So you can relax into the moment.
We work on getting you unstuck. We work together to achieve the goals you have chosen for your therapy.
I tailor the approach to each client. We will use the therapy tools that work the best for you.
I participate actively in the conversation. I’m not an um-hum therapist.
I use evidence-based, effective frameworks. Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness based therapies.

Simply put, I studied psychology to help people.
I wanted to learn strategies to help people heal from trauma, grow and self-actualise.
I always knew I wanted to be a therapist.
I have several psychologists in my family, and knew of the profession from a young age. I would discuss psychology with my uncle when I was as young as 8 and I started reading Freud when I was 12 🤓
But I also love languages, and I love to travel, so I spent many years traveling before taking the step to study psychotherapy.
So, why did I study psychology?
