I am Taking clients from
January 2022!

My name is Lisa.I'm a psychology-trained therapist from Germany.

I fell in love with Spain when I first moved here 8 years ago. After living here for a year, I studied clinical psychology in The Netherlands and later started working in Germany for a few years. However, I was always drawn back to Spain.

Barcelona is an amazing city for me as a person who is intrigued by art, loves amazing food, and wants to meet like-minded politically engaged and queer people.

English and German

Adults, Couples, Adolescents

BSc Psychology, MSc Clinical Psychology, Trauma Therapy Training.

So, what does working with me feel like?

I will give you time to express yourself.

I encourage transparent and honest exchanges with you. I know it can be hard to share personal details, so you can relax and take your time to share.

I have an integrative approach.

I draw from my knowledge of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Narrative Exposure Therapy, Imagery Rescripting, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), and other Third Wave approaches including Mindfulness.

I offer a professional yet warm and non-hierarchical relationship.

As a therapist I am not “higher up,” I simply have a learned set of skills to share with you to help improve your mental health and wellbeing – just as YOU have skills I may not yet have (like playing the guitar).

I provide a space of unconditional acceptance.

Where your experiences, beliefs, opinions, and perspectives are accepted, validated and treated with understanding.

Who do I help?

Depression, anxiety, panic disorder, loss and trauma, including sexual trauma. Sexual dysfunction, borderline personality disorder and somatic disorders.

Couples - Partners

Relationship struggles, sexual concerns and attachment issues in all types of monogamous or non-monogamous relationships (e.g. relationship anarchy, non-hierarchical polyamory, open relationships)

All sexual orientations, gender identities and relationship styles welcome.

Depression, anxiety, loss and trauma.

My interest in how the human brain works was sparked as a child, when my great-grandmother developed Alzheimer’s.

I have always loved helping and listening to people to try to understand what is troubling them.

When I moved to The Netherlands, I had a wonderful host mom who was a therapist. She shared inspirational stories about her work and encouraged me to study Psychology.

After completing my studies and in the course of my counselling work with refugees, I became interested in all types of trauma and resulting mental health concerns (PTSD, anxiety, depression, personality changes).

I love how my job is always interesting because all clients have their own special story, background, and way of living.

How did I realise my calling in life was psychology?

details that shape me as a person

When I was a teen, skydiving was my hobby.  I jumped over 100 times out of an old Antonov AN-2 airplane.

Created with Fabric.js 1.7.22

I am non-binary, bisexual, and polyamorous.
My pronouns are they /them /theirs. I am able to relate to some of the challenges queer or non-monogamous people might experience.

I love swimming and being in water in general. The most beautiful creature I have seen was a mantis shrimp while diving in the ocean.

Let me share a self-compassion exercise: writing a love letter to yourself!
