Marina. Therapy in Barcelona Collaborator. In Her Own Words..

Marina - Child and Family Therapist

Marina

I’m Marina. I’m 30 years old, originally from Brazil (São Paulo).

I’m a Child and Family Psychologist.

I have experience in different areas and diverse countries, such as: Social, Educational, Adoption, International Cooperation, and Human Resources in Brazil, Spain, Perú, and England.

I moved to Europe in 2015 to study a Masters Degree in Intervention and Family Mediation at Seville University.

During the Masters, I had the opportunity to work as Psychology Coordinator of an International Cooperation project in the jungle of Perú, where I worked with families with difficult backgrounds using tools from a positive parenting framework.

After that, I lived in Cambridge, England, where I worked in public and international schools supporting children, parents and whole families.

I am passionate about my work with children, adolescents and their parents. It is a privilege to support them through challenging moments in life, such as: emotional issues, conflicts, learning support, school adaptation, cultural adaptation, life transitions, parenting issues, and divorce. Assisting with the development of emotional competence in kids and families is also one aspect of my work I enjoy and I run workshops around this too.

Sessions can be in English, Spanish or Portuguese.

Work can be in individual,  group, or family sessions, or using mediation tools in family sessions.

I’m very excited to have the opportunity to work with multicultural families from  Barcelona’s international community!
