Safety Information for Therapy in Barcelona Clients and Therapists

Safety Information for Therapy in Barcelona Clients and Therapists

Information for Therapy in Barcelona clients and therapists

In accordance with the government de escalation plan, Therapy in Barcelona will be reopening its office doors from Monday May 11 2020.

To ensure everyone’s safety, reopening requires specific protocols. Please read the following.

We know it feels odd right now, but washing our hands and staying 1.5 metres apart will be things to get used to for a while. We understand if this may feel overwhelming so please  reach out to Leigh Matthews, Director of Therapy in Barcelona info@therapyinbarcelona.com, or your therapist, if you have any questions or concerns.

Please Do NOT come to the office and CHOOSE ONLINE SESSIONS IF:

You are in a vulnerable group, aged 65 or over, or with weak immunity, diabetes, asthma, severe obesity, chronic lung disease, serious heart conditions, or liver disease

You have a fever do not come to the office until you have been fever-free for 24 hours

You have a cough, or any respiratory illness (acute or chronic)

You have had contact with any person with suspected infection or infected with Covid-19

48 Hours Notice is required to cancel without full fee charge. You may choose an ONLINE session in lieu of your face to face session.

Please:

DO NOT come accompanied, unless the consultation is for a couple, child,  adolescent or family.  If a client requires assistance or transportation the additional parties will be asked to wait outside of the office until the appointment is completed

DO arrive only a few minutes before session as we will not be using the waiting room

DO wash your hands upon arrival with sanitiser gel provided at the entrance to the office  – this is OBLIGATORY BEFORE AND AFTER SESSION FOR THERAPISTS AND CLIENTS

USE OF HAND SANITISER: REMEMBER you must Rub your hands together, covering all surfaces of both hands, including between your fingers and up around your fingertips and nails. Rub hands together for 30 seconds to allow your hands to completely absorb the product and the hand sanitizer to completely dry

DO NOT touch handles or other high touch surfaces. Allow your therapist to touch these. Therapists will clean door handles, pens, and high touch surfaces using disinfectants

AVOID using the bathroom at the office unless it is an emergency

All offices will be subject to frequent ventilation with windows being opened

Optional Use of Masks and Face Shields

Therapists and clients are encouraged to use either masks or face shields but this is not compulsory as all rooms have been measured to ensure we have the required minimum 1.5 metres distance between therapist and client

IMPORTANT: Compliance with these safety protocols is OBLIGATORY to ensure client and therapist safety. Collaborating therapists, or the Director, at Therapy in Barcelona reserve the right not to admit therapists or clients in to face to face sessions if these measures are not observed.
