Laura
Come as you are. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, emotions, and patterns, so you can better understand yourself and work toward meaningful change.
Welcome
I'm Laura, an Integrative Psychologist
I work with adults and adolescents, online and in person at Therapy in Barcelona.
My route here ran through a few places. Originally from Figureres, I studied Psychology at the University of Girona, with semesters studying at the University of Leuven in Belgium and the University of Granada.
Living abroad taught me what it takes to find your footing in a new language and culture. That stays with me when I sit with international clients who are doing the same.
I am registered with the Colegio Oficial de Psicólogos and qualified to practise as a psychologist in Spain.

Let me share a tool for connecting with your body, emotions and needs using the Cycle of Experience.
What does working with me look like?
You will feel at ease from the start. I offer a warm, patient presence, so you can settle in and speak freely, without judgement.
We find your direction together. Therapy is a shared process where we both take an active role. Over time, we turn vague or tangled concerns into clearer goals, so you get a better sense of what you need and where you want to go.
We will work with your whole self, not just your thoughts. We pay attention to your body and your present-moment experience, alongside what is on your mind and what you have been through. I draw on body-focused approaches, Mindful Eating and yoga when they feel relevant, so change may be felt not only intellectually but on a deeper, embodied level.
We tailor therapy to you and your needs. My approach is grounded in humanistic, experiential and body-oriented therapy, drawing on Gestalt, Person-Centered, Emotion-Focused and Compassion-Focused approaches, as well as practices such as Mindful Eating, yoga and Mindful Sex.
A collaboration. You bring your experience, I bring my expertise, and together we find the way forward. Therapy is a process we create together, where we both have an active role and share responsibility for the work.
You will leave with something to practise. We use exercises and small pieces of useful “homework,” so the work continues between sessions and not only in the room.
Gestalt therapy focuses on becoming more aware of how you experience yourself, others and the world around you. Rather than trying to analyse or fix everything from the outside, we pay attention to what is happening in the present moment: your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, impulses and ways of relating.
Through this awareness, you can begin to recognise patterns that may have once helped you cope but no longer serve you. You may discover how you hold back, disconnect from your needs, adapt to others, or repeat certain patterns in your relationships.
The therapeutic process is experiential. We don’t only talk about what happens in your life; we explore how it is happening here and now. This might involve noticing a sensation in your body, staying with an emotion, exploring an interaction between us, or experimenting with a different way of responding.
The aim is not to become a different person, but to develop greater awareness, choice and freedom in how you live and relate to others. As you become more connected to yourself and your needs, new possibilities for change can emerge.
You bring your experience, I bring my expertise, and together we find the way forward.

My approach with adults & adolescents 14+
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or simply feel stuck or disconnected from yourself, therapy can offer a space to slow down, understand what is happening and explore what you need.
I work from a warm, relational and body-centred Gestalt approach. This means that we pay attention not only to your thoughts and what is happening in your mind, but also to your emotions, body sensations, needs and patterns of relating.
We work collaboratively and at your pace, with both of us having an active role in the process. You bring your experience, I bring my professional perspective, and together we shape the work according to what you need.
We explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and create space for new ways of responding. When helpful, I also draw on other approaches and practical, experiential tools that you can integrate into your everyday life.
We work together to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, reconnect with your needs and vitality, and feel more grounded and able to make choices that are truly your own.
How did I realise my calling in life was psychology?
I studied psychology to understand myself and the people around me, having always felt a little different growing up.
I trained in Gestalt, Compassion Focused, and body-centred therapy after first experiencing it as a client. It helped me understand my emotions and my own needs, and I knew I wanted to offer the same to others.
I moved into Conscious Sexuality work because relationships and intimacy are where our deepest patterns show up, and where real growth tends to happen.
3
details that shape me as a person and therapist
Learned to love myself first. I had to learn it the hard way in my own relationships, and it’s what led me to work with relationships, intimacy and sexuality.
Dance or move to find my way back to myself. Dancehall, salsa, bachata, barre and pilates. It keeps me grounded.
Go on body-centred retreats. Sometimes ecstatic dance, sometimes just space to reconnect.
In my clients own words: therapy with me
A very strong first session. I left feeling positive and with a clear, actionable next step for the coming week.
Laura has supported me with great dedication and warmth. She has been very patient with me, because I was wary after going through several therapists before who had not worked out. I am delighted, because her way of working helps me enormously and is helping me overcome my difficulties. I recommend her 100%.
